Vans has a great new line of super cozy surf-inspired footwear to keep your feet happy. I have been super into Vans for ages now and I can honestly say that this line is one of my favorites. These shoes are all very lightweight, durable, well-constructed, organic and awesome looking.

Shea is at it again ripping and getting coverage. Looks like him and Jensen scored some pretty fun Bertha surf down in Florida. Check out the rest of the feature over at Surfline

Just days after the internet was buzzing with Vince’s part in a the Chocolate Skateboards Television edit, here he comes out of the gate with a new shoe sponsor, that being the big boys over at Lakai Footwear. A lot of people want to call Vans the Number 1 skate shoe company, but Lakai has basically took a shot at the empire, and is building up to the number one spot shortly. They are definitely gunning for it, and with the latest signee, they might as well call Vans into check, because Lakai Limited is fulfilling a big gap in the skateboarding shoe market. Or maybe I’m just out of my mind. Here’s the welcome video for Vincent Alvarez, Lakai Team Rider:

If you missed Van’s Downtown Showdown, then you missed out on an amazing day of skateboarding. Here’s a video highlighting one of the special obstacles created specifically for the event. It was built by Creature, and skaters really had to watch their heads, or they would face an untimely doom…this looks sick.

The 4th annual Protect Poolparty is going to take place on May 17th at the Vans skateboard park in Orange County, and it’s going to be great. Sure, it’s not cool to wear pads, at least not in the media, but it’s nice to see a partnership between safety and skateboarding. Check out more information via the Vans skate website.
