You know we live our lives watching watered down contests and everyone slangin their new Nike SB’s or the matching custom New Era fitteds. We tend to get off tack a bit. Every once in awhile an amazing contest will go down in the history books and show us what Skateboarding was founded upon and what it should really be about. Thrasher decided to throw an event that would teach us this important lesson. Check out the footy:

Element skateboards releases clips all the time, and this one is number 82 in their Element.tv series. Nyjah shows that he’s growing up, and is just as good as he was back when we first saw him come out on Element. Speaking of Nyjah, he’s also featured in all the latest Element media in print, and has a good feature write up and interview in the latest skateboarding rags. But enough of all that, here’s the latest and greatest video from Element skateboards, enjoy:

For a great collection of skateboarding videos, head over to the skateaz.com archives. I came over a video that I completely forgot about, its called On The Friggidee. The only word to describe the short film is epic. It has amazing instrumentals and great filming by Cameron Harper. Watch it and you won’t be sorry you did.

At first I was impressed, but after further review, I feel pretty low right now. Seriously, this guy’s legs aren’t working, and he’s mopping up quite nicely. He can do vert, he can do street, he can jump gaps, flip tricks, all without the use of his legs. I wish I could land my stupid kickflip every time. Or hit a long set of stairs with a rail, but instead, I’m just feeling bad….two working legs and I can’t do half the stuff. Og De Souza is his name, and he loves skateboarding.

Oh and if that was just too much for you, check out this trailer for a little known documentary on professional skateboarder John Comer. Comer has only one leg, the other one was amputated and he skated with a prosthetic. So no more excuses, go out there and rip it up, skate like there’s no tomorrow, these two cats did.
