Check out this clip from Mesh Skatepark in Longwood, FL. You will find clips of Shawn Hale (white tee white backwards hat), Tom Geilfuss (orange shirt). They both forgot their boards at the house and had to borrow setups to get a few tricks. How is Freddie Tan’s style???? (white tee long hair backwards hat)… that kid is legit. Thanks to MESH for throwing another great event. Pyramid Scheme Best Trick from Mesh Skatepark on Vimeo. From 9/12/08: Mesh Skatepark & Covert Skateshop in association with DC Shoes, Kayo Corp, ERGO Clothing, & Substance Skateboards present The Pyramid Scheme Best Trick. Levi Love - Benefit Skate ContestPosted on August 26th, 2008 +Add a Comment »
|
On Saturday I was lucky enough to see a large amount of the skate industry come together in support of a fallen shredder. Levi Huffman suffered a severe head injury on International Go Skate Day, he was in the ICU for weeks. The reason that so many people came together for Levi is his amazing character. I have a huge amount of respect or Levi, he is the kind of person who will go out of his way to help anyone he can.Like how he takes a group of little skate groms to a different skatepark that they wouldn’t normally have access to each week. Every time I skate with Levi he goes out and teaches someone something new or give them the confidence in themselves to do more than they thought the could. Levi and his fiancée are expecting their first child later this year, he will be an amazing father. On the 12th Board Cartel put together a skate contest along with Woodward to raise money for Levi and his family. The people at Cartel got everyone they could involved and before we knew it there were over 20 sponsors sending product to help Levi. Product from Circa, Fallen, Mystery, Zero, Black Box, Anon, Nixon, Oakley, Element, RVCA, Bern helmets, Neff, Etnies, and boardpusher.com. |

Robert Lopez Mont gets a mag minutePosted on August 18th, 2008 +Add a Comment »
|
So we haven’t blown it up yet, but I guess this is a good time to start. Robert has had some trouble in the past with the industry, but you cant take away the fact that he rips. He has come to realization that the skate board industry is tougher than he thought. If you step back and think about it for a minute… take a young kid from Puerto Rico who doesn’t know any better… pay him thousands of dollars… and send him around the world a few times… shits gonna happen. He was running around like the drunk Ricky Martin of Skateboarding and pissed a few people off… Anyway, being the kind hearted folks we are here at ergo, we have giving Robert a chance to start off on a new foot. Check out Robert’s Mag Minute here and keep your eyes peeled for the more death defying footage of him soon. Here is a photo of Robert cruising with Creager on his first trip with his new family. |
The Age of NegotiationPosted on August 9th, 2008 +Add a Comment »
|
We are living in the age of negotiation… destruction with the goal of creation, participation without purpose and machines crazier than the people who use them. Humans act as electrical sockets in post-cultural societies to slow cook a global crock-pot of bullshit. Fax machines are played out and cubicles burn with black smoke. |

Been skating everyday after work, best thing to get you through the day. I have a few photos to share. The sunsets have been pretty good for the last few days so we decided to do some shooting around that time. We were a bit late but had a blast on this little known mini. It’s amazing to skate this ramp, especially once it starts to cool down. |

The 4th annual Protect Poolparty is going to take place on May 17th at the Vans skateboard park in Orange County, and it’s going to be great. Es Footwear Contest: Win ClothingPosted on March 19th, 2008 +Add a Comment »
|
I’ve always been a big fan of winning stuff, even though I never get anything for my troubles and labor. You could, however, be one of the few people that get to win something for free! Right now you can enter to win a complete set of clothing from Es Footwear, that’s right, you get clothes. Sorry diehard skaters, you don’t win shoes and boards in this contest, but at least you can put on a clean pair of jeans, and a cool hoodie. I for one, could use a new pair of pants, but that’s just me. Click here and you could be the proud owner of the Money Machine, Euro Zip and Eldridge 1.0, that’s right, free stuff from Es Footwear. |

Some call it a noble cause, I call it an effort to make money off of the booming Chinese economy, but whatever. RVCA is over there right now, and they just completed their sixth blog update with photos from their Chinese adventures. You can check out all the photos (there’s a ton of them) and the latest ramblings from the RVCA skate team, over at their official blog, here. Who’s next to skate China? It seems like that’s the hot spot for touring right now. |
Nothing leads to…InspirationPosted on March 2nd, 2008 +Add a Comment »

I met up with some skaters in denver a few weeks ago. The spot was a c-ledge, no one was really landing their tricks. After an hour of shooting the same tricks I took Ian (Coder) over to a dark space of sidewalk and tried to get the same result that Cole Barash did here. This is what I came up with. |
