Our boys over at new Encinitas-based eyewear brand, RAEN optics just sent us some sick shades because they love Seshn so much. The name of these sunnies are the Casbah (pictured above) and they are remarkable to say the least. The damage is $104.50 and can be bought on Raen’s site. Some may bitch about the price but these will last much longer than the other whack brands out there.
When I talked with Jeremy (co-founder) a couple months ago about how they were coming along, he told me as soon as they had a pair available they would kick it over to me. When I opened the fresh box yesterday I was kind of hoping for the worst, since nearly every major eyewear brand has been letting me down lately as far as quality goes.
Upon opening the box I seriously took one look at the craftmanship that the Casbah’s were rocking and I was so frothed to have a brand new pair of great sunglasses finally. I still have not done a long-term test on the Casbah’s (obviously) but I can say this, these things are built to last and it shows. Not only that but did I mention the insane style? They aslo fit on my face with pure comfort. Ok enough rambling, go buy some RAEN stuff asap!

I called up Jeremy Heit the other day to talk to him about Raen optics and to see if they would be interested in working with Seshn. Jeremy is a mellow cat to say the least and I could hear the passion he has for his new company behind his voice.
Raen, pronounced ‘rain’, was founded by Jeremy and his brother, Justin. Jeremy was a pro surfer and involved with sales and marketing while his bro has a marketing and branding background. They both have alot of drive and are going to change the eyewear game up a bit with Raen. Their first shipment of product comes in on the 24th of July and we are eagerly awaiting it’s arrival.
