“How does it feel Chas to win one bizzillion dollars in a year?”
Words by Tawnya Schultz/ Pics by Binky
First off I must apologize for slacking and not having a post up sooner. I know; it’s not like me or us at all. Here’s the thing. Something so random happened this weekend at the West Coast Invitational after party while Talib Kweli was performing on stage. While Pancho was holding my camera and showing me a “memory card full” message since we had taken more than 100 photos that night some crazy guy jumped on stage attempting to stage dive. Well literally within a split second security grabbed the dude and bro went flying off the stage landing directly on Pancho who’s like half this guy’s size. Anyway Pancho somehow survived but my camera did not. It went flying as well vanishing within seconds. So I’m putting the word out. Someone has my Canon digi cam with tons of rail jam and Talib Kweli party photos. We pulled some pics together for ya though, courtesy of Binky, and here’s a brief rundown of what went down at this year’s W.C.I. in Mammoth Lakes, CA.
Chris Grenier mobbin’ it before he got hurt.

I can only imagine the unease of moms in Mammoth during the beginning of April. If I were them I’d consider hiding my sons. During the first week of April the ladies took over town as Snowboarder hosted their 4th annual Ms Superpark. And the ladies were out in full force. Having overlapped with the Chicken Jam this year due to weather the ladies took over town. Seriously, when else can you walk into a bar in a ski town and have the women outnumbering the men 5 to 1, huh? Here are a few photos of the few days Nikita was in town:
First we had to drive there from SoCal. It was flat, then a few hills, lots of run-down mines, random signs for The Best Jerky Ever and people of all walks of life manning the gas stations.

Eddie Wall’s career as a professional snowboarder stems from his beliefs in hard work and sacrifice. He began his dream as a pro snowboarder by standing on his sled in his backyard in Pennsylvania, two hours from what he like to describe as “the smallest hill imaginable.”
Seshn: Yo Eddie, what have you been up to?
Eddie Wall: Filming filming filming, just trying to get a lot of stuff done for the new forum movie dropping this sept! FORUM OR AGAINST EM.
Seshn: What do you think of all this global warming bullshit with these massive pow dumps we have seen over the last few weeks? Is it legit or just another government hoax?
Eddie Wall: Whether its true or not, keeping less fumes in the air and cars off the road is good. Keeping everything we do super environmental is the best trend we can get into anyways. No matter whats happening its cool to see people trying to do shit about it, whether it has to do with global warming or not.
Seshn: Who are your sponsors these days?
Eddie Wall: forum, foursquare, dc, smith, vestal, mammoth, jacks.
Seshn: How supportive is a company like DC and do you feel like the support they have for their riders has been a big part in their success?
Eddie Wall: DC is the shit!! They back their team so damn hard! its insane. They really give a lot of credit to the team for their success. They are basically the best company in the industry in my eyes, them, forum, and burton are the dopest. Ken Block is the man.
Seshn:What was your best memory of 2007 and why does it stand out above the rest?
Eddie Wall: Filming in NZ with the DC team for the new video, with ken block’s rally car, it was long days of filming, and scary shit, but the outcome was rediculous. some of the best footy i have ever been in for sure.
Seshn: What are your plans for 2008?
Eddie Wall: x games and film for FORUM OR AGAINST EM the new forum video.
Seshn: Who are your favorite homeys to ride with and why?
Eddie Wall: pat moore, bell, kennedy, welch, basically the whole forum and dc teams. and when i am skating its with Tony Tave, Denis Durant, Josh, Abdias Rivera, Ice, Windsor (all the Circa homies)
Seshn: Where are you calling home right now and what’s the scene like?
Eddie Wall: I have a house in mammoth and in san clemente california. I travel the entire year, so I am only home in mammoth a week or so… so I don’t know the scene there. In san clemente the scene is dope,,, hang with all the Circa homies, DC Forum and all sponsors are down there, and my girl lives there too . i like it there
Seshn: If you could pick one favorite photog who would it be and why?
Eddie Wall: Ian Rueter has helped me out the most, gotten me like 4 covers,,, and interviews…
