Kr3w just hooked up with Kevin Romar for an interview over on their website. K-RO has been killing it lately and is getting pretty tight with Kr3w from the sounds of things. Romar talks about Call of Duty 4, his new part in Digital’s new film, Smoke and Mirrors, and a couple other tidbits. It’s a pretty short interview, but worth a peep as this kid is on the up-and-up and going to start popping pretty soon.

What kind of kid were you in school?
I was actually a pretty good kid. I never really got into trouble in school. I just wanted to skate. I was a total skate rat. It was a little different back then though because skating wasn’t really popular yet. So I wasn’t cool in high school and I didn’t really have a ton of friends. We were kind of just outcast. We just didn’t get a shit about anything but skating!

What’s your favorite part about traveling?
My favorite part about traveling is skating new spots. I seriously base everything off of skating. If there’s nothing to skate in that city then I write that city off. I get soo burnt out on skating the same spots every single day, so it’s so nice going to skate new spots.

Despite what anyone thinks about Tony Hawk, it is undeniable that he’s been a driving force in skateboarding for a long time. He’s been at the forefront of innovation at times, and also responsible for bringing skateboarding into a mainstream crossover that the 80’s can not take credit for. He’s the spokesman for skateboarding while others just have a good life in street skateboarding or random magazine covers. The Birdman recently gave an exclusive interview for Birdhouse skateboards, which you can read here.
