Emerica’s latest pro shoe model has been announced and it reminds me of the Carroll mid from Lakai. What ever happened to innovation in skateboarding shoes?
Jerry Hsu is awesome, but this shoe seems a little odd to me. I’ll have to see them up close to make final judgments. Check out the news and a video, here

A lot of people might not realize that although professional skateboarders are getting paid to ride their skateboards, they also have off days, and aren’t as good as the magazine ads will have you believe. Sometimes, even though a rider has a sick line and footage, it gets cut, and doesn’t get into the official release. Here is one such case, except in this case, instead of throwing away the footage, Emerica has graciously put it up online for us to see. Emerica has been making moves. After getting Jerry Hsu on board, and building hype with the new Ed Templeton hi-top skate shoe design, and a promising trailer for their latest video offering, they are now popping their collar a little with some quick footage in promotion of their latest skateboarding epic: Stay Gold!
