Barry McGee AKA ‘Twist’ and Claire Rojas, both had a piece of their artwork stolen from the RVCA shop in San Francisco recently and RVCA is trying to find the culprit:
“Both pieces are from private collections and RVCA asks that anyone with any information about their whereabouts please contact shop staff at 415 701 7822. There will be no questions asked of anyone phoning in with information and if the person in possession of the works wishes to return them, no legal action will be taken against anyone. They just want the art back.”
Anonymous tips can also be emailed to Supertouch staff at Supertouchart at gmail.com. DO THE RIGHT THING…
We hope you get your art back guys. That’s a shame.

With all the hype and web news sites going crazy over the Iron Man movie that is breaking records, it’s only natural that we see some decks coming to the surface from Powell. These were released in the mid 90’s and were Steve Caballero’s pro decks on the classic brand. These are hot commodities on ebay, collector’s walls, and anyone that’s a fan of both comic books and skateboarding; like myself. Look for Powell to make a huge comeback this year, as they are currently filming for what could be the best video of 2008; with full parts from Cab and more.

Just when you thought this section was only videos, here’s some fresh air for you skateboard art collectors; Matt & Mark Owen recently collaborated with Zoo York to design six new skateboard decks for the skate company’s “Artist Series” and these are looking interesting. Sure they aren’t the City Series from Chocolate, or the Photo series from Stereo Skateboards, but come on…these are still worth checking out.
The series takes inspiration from literature in the realms of “Urban” jungle, with a hint of NYC for good measure. Zoo York has definitely been doing quite well in recent times, with a lot of focus on limited edition skateboards and artist collaborations. Here’s the decks, enjoy….
