In an interesting move by any band, Chiodos is going to be doing a show live online. This is not the first time a band has tried to broadcast a concert online, as many radio stations do this all the time for bands. However, this time it’s not going to be free, and the promoters are promising full resolution high definition streaming HD video. That’s right, HD quality streaming video and audio with multiple angles, and full interactivity with the band. That’s not all, you’ll also be able to request songs and hear what you want to hear from the band, all of this live and in full motion video.
The downside?
This is not going to be free for all. You have to pay 6.99 to enjoy all this, and that’s not too bad, considering they are promising to deliver a unique concert experience online, and do it right. Full HD! To get yourself a ticket to this interesting venue, click here, and read more about it. It still seems odd to charge for a concert online, and maybe other bands are going to join the fray of online concert promotions.

I never thought I’d see the day when a small time screamo band would get bigger billing then Mxpx! Seriously, MXPX has been around the music scene, has been on major stadium tours…ah whatever. The latest tour featuring Chiodos, Mxpx, and others is available here:
4/1 - Columbia, MO
4/2 - Wichita, KS
4/3 - Ft. Worth, TX
4/4 - Odessa, TX
4/5 - Flagstaff, AZ
4/6 - Irvine, CA
4/7 - Bakersfield, CA
4/8 - Chico, CA
4/9 - Eugene, OR
4/10 - Spokane, WA
4/17 - Fargo, ND
4/18 - Milwaukee, WI
4/19 - Grand Rapids, MI
4/20 - Indianapolis, IN
4/26 - Rochester, NY
4/27 - Pittsburgh, PA
4/29 - Allentown, PA
4/30 - Worcester, MA
5/1 - Hartford, CT
5/3 - East Rutherford, NJ
I still don’t believe Mxpx should get treated as a “supporting” act. But I guess it is better than nothing.
