A few of us here at the ergo office are fans of electronic music. If you know anything about it… you would know that Deadmau5 is killing it right now. To make a long story short, we hooked up with Beatports man of the year. Here are some photos of Deadmau5 from the Coachella Music Festival.

What do you get when you add 1/2 c. Geery, a bottle of beer, a BF and a competition? Well, apparently a soup-off.
So I get to work this morning and my iChat pops up with Brooke Geery saying “did you watch top chef portland yet?”
Confused. I was confused for a minute. Then she sent me this:

Here are some more photos and write-ups from Maribeth’s adventures:
GRENADE GAMES- Another few fun-filled blurry days at June Mnt for the annual Grenade Games. I finally got to see Gabby again and it was nice to relax a little bit with some no- pressure shredding…
COLORADO HUT TRIP- I headed back to Colorado to join some canadians for a backcountry hut trip for DRIFT magazine. I met up with Mercedes Nicoll, Dominique Valle, Spencer O’Brien, a photographer, a writer, and our guide to do some hiking ‘Into the Wild’. We packed in lots of food and wine and not much else to live in a backcountry hut for 5 days & 6 nights. No cell phones, no computers, no running water, solar and headlamp lighting, woodstove heating, an outhouse, and lots of hiking… It sounds rough but it was truely an amazing experience. We all took turns chopping wood, melting snow for water, cooking, and cleaning. We had wine yoga sessions, many games of UNO, delicious meals, and fed Whisky Jack Birds right out of our hands! Oh- and Spencer taught me how to master the rubix cube! Nikita team rider, Leslie Glenn, and Caroline Oznik hiked up to join us for two days. The snowboarding was fun too but the crazy spring conditions were not that rad. I would recommend doing a trip like this at least once in your life if you ever get a chance!

TAHOE HEBE SHOOT- Vicci Miller and I went to Tahoe to meet up with Conny Bleicher, Aline Bock, and Silvia Schlereth to do a shoot for a HEBE (spanish magazine) story. They all came in from Austria and I soon learned that my Nikita Outerwear Teammate, Julia Baumgartner, was also supposed to come on the trip but she had injured her knee and would not be able to join us. To keep her with us, I wore my handmade JB beenie all week long! We had tons of fun riding resorts and back country all over Tahoe. We also met up with Nikita rider Lisa Filzmoser and a bunch of Euro guys one night for a big BBQ! Good times good times..

ROXY CHICKEN JAM- After Tahoe, we all went back down to Mammoth for the Roxy Chicken Jam. It was lot’s of fun and I got to see a lot of my friends for the first time all year!
MS. SUPERPARK- Then it was back to June Mountain for Ms. Superpark. The set- up was really creative and fun. There were also some pretty good parties!

So we have been busy little bees here in the Seshn family. We have had some awesome people start working with us as of late and we are thrilled for that. People are finally starting to realize that Blogger sucks and there is no community aspect to it. Seshn is the complete opposite. We create a dope blog for you, then we put you right in the middle of our online hood. Too good to be true? Nope.

Black Tide came to us wanting to get involved with us in any way shape or form. We told them we would build them a kick ass blog and let them take over. If you haven’t heard of these guys it’s because they are still pretty fresh. Formed in 2004, the heavy metal band hails from Miami, Florida, has a deal with Interscope Records, and they are all under 20 years old!
Better yet, they all skate too. On top of that they really are very talented and have some great tracks. We are stoked to have them on board with Seshn and you should be too! Check out their blog at http://blacktide.seshn.com
Nikita is all girl. And we at Seshn looooove the chicas. Kelly from Nikita has been working with us since we started out, as a contributer and has now started a full-on Nikita blog on our network. The Nikita blog is still new and will be getting added to often so make sure you check it out. If it’s anything like their clothes, it’s going to be sassy, sexy and full of attitude.
Check it out ladies, at http://nikita.seshn.com

Our homey Jason over at Street Corner has finally got his act together and joined the family. I feel bad for the guy cuz he just got back from a trip to Hawaii and here I am slaving away at a desk day and night. Jason plans on keeping you updated to the maximus with content from Street Corner and it’s solid lineup of skate brands. Street Corner is City Skateboards, Hubba Wheels, Venture Trucks, Think Skateboards and Lucky Bearings.
Peep their blog at http://streetcorner.seshn.com
Twitter is yet another site to waste your time with online. We have recently jumped on board the Twitter train and we aren’t extremely impressed, although it does get us a little extra traffic. Every blog we post on Seshn goes straight to our Twitter account so that aspect is pretty cool. There are millions of people who use this site to tell all their friends or fake friends, what they are doing every 5 min. Can you be any dorkier than that?
Get an account, test it out and let us know what you think. Follow us on Twitter at http://twitter.com/seshn. And don’t forget to make sure you get our mobile updates so you can get Seshn news whenever we post a blog, on your cell phone!!
If you already have a Twitter account, post the link to it in the comments.

Circa’s Canadian Tour video is now posted via the official Circa skateboarding website, and you can view it now.
Why is it not here? Because the Circa web team posted it in flash on their website, and you can’t download it. Unless, you get the circa podcast, download the podcast, then upload it to youtube, and then send me a link.
However, until then, you can check out the Circa Canadian Tour video part 2 by going to their site.
Landscape skateboards comes through with some awesome footage. Don’t let the name fool you, as it might be snowy, but it’s not “snowy” if that makes any sense to you. Check it out below:
So here’s a little heads up on what some of the Nikita gals have been up to - recently and not so recently.
Eko is one of our DJs who is spinning with the Funktress from The Coup pretty soon.
Here’s a shot of her from URB magazine that she

Danielle Zirkelbach is in Florida loving the water. She’s got a lot of competitions lined up for the next few months. Excited to see more surf shots from this gal.

Mimi Knoop just won the Pro tec Pool Party and it was awesome.Hell yeah Gibson guitar and 4 g’s!

Mikayla Schultz has been going to school in Boulder but finds plenty of time for fun (a-hem, high-kick contest anyone?)

When she’s not nose-in-a-book style she’s in the snow

or rocking blue tights…every girl needs a pair right?

Then there’s her love of sunglasses. Rawr.
Extra Credit Crew is an all gals b-girl group from the Bay Area. They are a part of the Sisterz of the Underground collective, who just celebrated their 7 year anniversary. Get some girls!

l
Peppa is a lady of LA but always on the go. I’ll get an e-mail from her saying she’ll be in Spain for a battle, then on another plane to battle down under…then she’ll come back and say she’s hosting her own event in LA. Here are some shots of her and Lady Jules at the Renegade Battle in Australia.

Where do I even start with Magalie DuBois? She’s a sassy gal from Canada with a crazy French accent and ambition that could make Rocky weak at the knees. Girl’s got style and is a force on and off-hill. Bottom line, she’s awesome.

Leslie Glenn made it out to Ms Superpark this go around. She among a lot of other ladies threw down for days. Here are some shots she brought back with her.
This is from the ridge at June looking down on Ms Superpark. The hip to the left is what Leslie destroyed.

Maribeth and Leslie at the end of a day

Clair and Leslie at the end of a session. It was late nights on-hill for the ladies most nights

Kristin Tanpoco is a DJ from Canada and has recently gone on tour around Europe. She came back with stories of night-long dance parties and people who just wanted to stay up, have fun and not let her stop spinning. Time well spent on the road for sure. She’s been in a few tattoo magazines for the Filipino influenced designs. Girl’s got mad tattoos.
Here’s the view from the stage. My favorite are the two dudes in the bottom right-hand corner. I’ll let you make your own stories for what they’re up to.

Here’s Kristin makin’ magic

Here’s a shot of Kristin on the streets somewhere in Europe

Kaitlyn Farrington just went to prom. So cute. She’s been riding all winter and has earned a well-deserved break for a hot minute. She’s the cute one in the middle with the black dress.

This is the lucky prom date. This photo makes me feel old.

Femke Henriques lives in Tahoe. We met her at the Nikita Chickita event in Mammoth this past season and had her come along on the photoshoot in Tahoe. It was rad meeting Femke and having her join the rest of the gals taking over the hills of Tahoe for a week.

Colleen Quigley and I met at Ms Superpark and I was dumbfounded by her style. Here’s proof:

Here are some shots that Maribeth (MB) sent in. She and Magalie crossed paths a few times this winter. The two of them together are outta control awesome.
Here’s a little of what MB had to say about her season:
COLORADO- Went back to shred with some old friends in Breckenridge and Steamboat. Met up to shoot some photos with the Steamboat mountain photog. Then visited my new Nephew!
JACKSON HOLE/ ALPINE, WY- I saw some wild horses in the middle of the road on the drive to Wyoming. Some of them ran along side the car for about a mile! I was supposed to go to Jackson Hole for a week and I ended up staying for a month! It dumped almost every day and I rode the deepest steepest snow, choking on powder all day every day… Also did a lot of backyard log jibbing at Clancy’s house in Alpine. So Fun! Even ran into Mag Dubs and her boyfriend for a day. Then I witnessed the best snowboard competition I have ever seen. It was the Travis Rice Natural Selection. I even got to forerun down Dick’s Ditch! If I can buy a snowmobile by next winter, Jackson may be my new home!
NIKITA CHICKITA- Got back to California just in time for the Nikita Chickita Contest in Mammoth. Lots of girls showed up and the course was really fun to ride. My good friend Izzy Lalive won 1st place and we all went to Lakanuki Bar for the after party where we rocked out with the LOVEMAKERS all night. Thanks for a great event!

NIKITA TAHOE SHOOT- It was so much fun to meet up with all the old and the new Nikita girls and shred all around Tahoe!
JUNE MOUNTAIN- I met up with Magalie and her boyfriend, Cheeseburger, back in June Lake. We spent a few days with local backcountry guru and one of my close friends, Jimmy Lim. We had tons of fun and shot lots of photos on all kinds of little jibs and drops in the backcountry. We were riding powder days after it had been all tracked out on the mountain! We also had lots of fun shredding the park with it’s unique variety of jibs and it’s jump line… June is definately one of my favorite places to ride and I was stoked to share it with Mag and Cheese!
VIRGINIA LAKES SNOWCAT TRIP- My friend Vicci Miller came in from Europe and joined me and some friends on a snowcat trip to Virginia Lakes for a Euro magazine blog. Virginia Lakes is a beautiful area between June Lake and Sonora Pass. I have been out there on the snowcat three times now and you can always count on riding some good powder. We got 8 amazing runs in and had delicious food and drink every ride back up! When we finished the last lap, Vicci and I towed behind the cat for about 2 miles back out to the highway. It was an awesome day!

Here’s a good photo of one of the Icelandic force: Runar and Geiri
MB, Magi and Gabby went to Iceland to shoot the Fall Winter catalog:

Matt Keenan is in Bali right now with Mike Losness and their chicks. They also brought along photog Anthony Ghiglia. Congratulations to Matt on his engagement… what better place in the world to make it go down. Anyway, here is a photo… along with our ichat conversation.
Stop by Anti Apparel and pick up the Capone Stripe woven and ask your chick to get married in it like Keenan did.
