Crappy Keystone?Posted on May 8th, 2008 by themustachio | +Add a Comment » | 40 views
A dollar and a day late but here’s the crappy keystone vid. It’s filmed in two runs cause the weather was shitty and me and Gerrit just wanted to shred. Some Sundown Showdown footage in there as well. There was no sun coming down but the snow was coming down full force. A rail jam in the snow is pretty funny but filming it is another story.
Micah came along for the ride and she is the coolest. When I first met her she asked me for a mustachio sticker and when we came back the next day it was all cut out supernice on her helmet in the best spot. This day she bought me and Gerrit the biggest pizza we ate while we were in the US. Pretty cool eh?
Edit might strike you somewhat odd but turn the volume up and hear a lot of sampled rambling from my part. Hope you like it. Actually I don’t care. Making it was pretty fun. I know it sucks though.
Here’s the nicely compressed quicktime version but click the link below for a crip highres one. It’s really big so it’s gonna take some time to load. Either way, just watch it.
Au revoir from your hairy friends..!

MAMMOTH WCI… LAST BANG OF THE YEAR!Posted on May 7th, 2008 by kdeezy | +Add a Comment » | 68 views
Thanks to Snowboard-Mag.com

“How does it feel Chas to win one bizzillion dollars in a year?”
Words by Tawnya Schultz/ Pics by Binky
First off I must apologize for slacking and not having a post up sooner. I know; it’s not like me or us at all. Here’s the thing. Something so random happened this weekend at the West Coast Invitational after party while Talib Kweli was performing on stage. While Pancho was holding my camera and showing me a “memory card full” message since we had taken more than 100 photos that night some crazy guy jumped on stage attempting to stage dive. Well literally within a split second security grabbed the dude and bro went flying off the stage landing directly on Pancho who’s like half this guy’s size. Anyway Pancho somehow survived but my camera did not. It went flying as well vanishing within seconds. So I’m putting the word out. Someone has my Canon digi cam with tons of rail jam and Talib Kweli party photos. We pulled some pics together for ya though, courtesy of Binky, and here’s a brief rundown of what went down at this year’s W.C.I. in Mammoth Lakes, CA.

Chris Grenier mobbin’ it before he got hurt.

Grenade Games IV…Take over June Mtn and live up the 4-20 Weekend!Posted on April 22nd, 2008 by kdeezy | +Add a Comment » | 312 views
4th Annual Grenade Games — Thanks Snowboard-Mag.com

Look at those flowing locks. Danny Kass getting’ lifted in his own way.
Words: Tawnya Schultz / Photos: Binky and K Deezy
In its 4th year Grenade Games has turned into quite the spectacle so much so that the entire police force was called out in attempts to rain on our parade. Well there’s only one way to say it and nobody better to quote in this situation than N.W.A.; “Fuck the police.” There are serious crimes taking place, people missing, rapists lingering the streets and the city decides to place all of its energy on a bunch of alleged criminal snowboarders who are simply looking to enjoy the mountains; and so what, maybe a little greenery, but honestly is that stuff seriously still illegal? It’s a lose lose situation and it was a conspiracy in fact.

Radical Dudes for life. Danny and Dingo.

9Grand T.M. Kdeezy and The wonder boy Lucas Magoon

Who’s got the stash? Maximillion does of course. Mase is stoked.

D. Tale hearts Grenade Games.

Ahmon grubbin’ down and Doran holdin’ down the fort.

GT from Von Zipper and Kenny Bongiourno.

The jib playland.

Chinese Eyed Downhill. Holy shit!

Here they come. Crash and burn.

Dingo and Danny with reining champ Thor Rein.

Schiff interviewing Thor. Check the sticker.

South Shore Soldiers Rob Crosby and Shasta with The Dingo.
There were at least 10 vehicles pulled over on the 15 mile drive from Mammoth to June Lake with another 15 to 20 officials lingering on both sides of the highway. The DEA was out, the drug dogs, the paddy wagon, a contraband drop off, and drug search check point. It was no joke. Well yeah actually maybe it was. Ya see it was truly all fun and “games” because us, us little snowboarders, with our criminal minds found a way around the system and still got higher than the sky all 4/19 and 4/20. So who’s laughing now?

Binky definitely is. Thanks for the photos Binks!

Technine’s Jeremy Grendal is too.

And so were Bradshaw and I.

As was Mitch Reed. Do you see where I’m going with this?
Even though everyone was getting pulled over for any and everything possible including but not limited to no front license plate, a cracked windshield, driving with goggles on, from what I know no one was arrested just given tickets and all that was confiscated was less than an ounce of weed total. Let me not get too far off base from the event’s original intentions and that is celebrating the shred and coming together for few days of peace and unity.

The jumpline.

Brian Regis’ method airing for the photogs.

Most Radical Dude Chas Guldemond.

D. Kass over the gap.

And another angle.

Girl fight.
The weather was slightly frigid for April and definitely windy but everyone made the best of it shredding the day away Saturday on the legit slope-style setup and taking part in a number or Genadesque competitions. After a lil’ rest and some much needed Pita Pit to get back on track for the night’s party the crew headed to Whiskey Creek. Once again overcapacity, cops outside, lines at the bar, and any and everyone from the Grenade Army up in the mix.

Sk8 Mafia and Jus Liv’s Preebz, Electric TM Cyle Cadam, and Dingo.

Watch out here comes Kass.

BME Click Tom Ryen.

Look Goon matches his shirt. Weird.

9Grand Clothing’s KDeezy and Mitch Reed a.k.a Gryme Tyme the #1 rapper in C.O

Scotty Arnold signature pose.

Jimi Tomer and the Kingvale boys.

It’s all just love here.
The morning of 4/20 meant a blunted wakeup call and getting back on the wagon for another full day of party…and shred. The pipe was calling (ha, ha) and the players were out to play: Mason Aguirre, Kyle Clancy, Doran Laybourn, Luke Mitrani, Danny Kass, Louie Vito, Scotty Arnold, Chas Guldemond, Lane Knaack, the list goes on. And for those who opted not to hike the pipe all day a mini quarter-pipe and picnic table jib setup were constructed to play around on.

Free bird Taipan.

Luke Mitrani was throwing it down.

Chuck G and the hairy eyeball.

Tyler Lynch reppin’ the Midget Mafia.

Travis Robinson and Westenberger.

Water balloon launchers.

Chris Grenier gets money.

Guldemond again doing it big.

Kaleigh and Nicole chillin’ on the sidelines.

Bradshaw and Deezy…keepin it laced up fo sho!

Vito is some sort of contortionist or something.

Mase Nutz knows a thing or two about the pipe.
Lake Tahoe rockers, THC, kept the jam alive on the snow mound as did Deathpact completing the party in full Grenade style. Thanks to Janae Twisselman and Grenade for once again organizing a foggy and hardly memorable event. My eyes are still red from two days ago. Also thanks to all the peeps at June Mountain for actually being cool and supporting the cause. Exploit!

The congregation.

Zach Duby and K Deezy. Big ups to www.seshn.com.

The crazy crowd with Deathpact performing.

The Monster Energy girls with D and D.

Nate Farrell.

THC in the mix.

Farmer, Kidwell, and Bob Klein. Rockers for life.

What are you boys doing over there behind that tree? Gooner, Mase, and Kass.

That Was Fast! X-Games Vert Has Been Resurrected!Posted on April 9th, 2008 by zebra | 1 Comment » | 242 views
Roughly 5 days after the X Games committee announced that they killed off vert, it’s back from the dead! Vert skaters are trully rejoicing everywhere! Maybe they will add some flair to vert this year and get the skaters pulling antics like the image below. That could really bring vert back to the pop status that X Games is seeking…

Did the Man above have a helping hand in this resurrection or was it just the X Games General Manager, Chris Stiepock? Well you be the judge but it was interesting to hear what Mister Stiepock said about this whole ordeal…
“The X Games has always had a commitment to the athletes and our consistent communication with them has allowed us to collectively grow this event to where it is today,” said Chris Stiepock, General Manager, X Games. “In this particular case the communication took many turns but a consensus by the athletes has emerged that has lead us to reinstate Vert as an X Games discipline this year. We will continue to work with the athletes to make the X Games relevant and successful.”
Nice move X Games, way to listen to the people and the actual skaters! Welcome back to life and hopefully you will be around a few more years. Can’t wait to see what Shaun White, Bob, Bucky and PLG have up their sleeves this year. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
