Who’s Scott Pfaff? I wasn’t really sure who this cat was, and then I ran into a short sentence that called him Rob Dyrdek’s cousin. Well, it’s not drama…at least I don’t think so, but the guy can rip. He’s riding an Alien Workshop deck in this video, and he’s ripping up Steve Berra’s skateboard park. Not bad.
The latest and greatest montage of skateboarding coming theskatespot.com is here, and ready for your viewing. If it’s warm outside, and you’re off work, this should be a quick motivational video to get you on the road skateboarding.

Sometimes we gloss over the past in regards to skateboarding, but here’s a classic clip to make you remember the pioneers…Hosoi from 1985, this clip is dangerous. Some might argue that today’s pro’s have it easy, cheating death in the streets, but then again…our boards are a lot more sophisticated than the ones of the past…or are they? Check out a piece of history with this classic footage from Hosoi. Check out the video, and if you like it check out more skateboarding action via shredordie.com and even enter to win a signed Tony Hawk skateboard, not bad, if you ask me.
Silver Trucks, Swiss Division, skateboard through the streets in this awesome skate video. Right in time for lunch time!

Girl Distribution, has opened up their own online store. This of course cuts out the middle man of sorts, and creates a new market for skateboarding brands to sell directly to customers. The skateboarding e-commerce giants won’t exactly be too thrilled to see that Girl Distro is selling their products at near cost for many smaller skateboard shops. The site is built in yahoo’s shopping cart and doesn’t look too user friendly, but customers that use the site will be glad to know that they are getting products directly from the source, no salesman, and no middle man involved.
This is not a new thing for the Girl distro giant, as they unleashed a stellar option for fans of Lakai skate shoes. You can get Lakai skate shoes at rock bottom prices through their clearance store. That’s right, no need to wait for your local shop to drop the price on shoes, because you can now get them directly from Lakai at a lower price.
Retailers online are not going to be glad to see this, as customers will most likely enjoy the benefits of shopping directly from the skate brands, rather than the middle man. Especially with online culture moving towards lowest price, rather than supporting local businesses.
You can check out the Crailtap store to see what they’re up to, as well as check out the Lakai Clearance store for further information on skate shoes.
Our very own, Kdeezy, sat down with rising Skate Slayer, Tom Ryen recently in a one on one seshn. Ryen talked about how Grenade is now one of his sponsors. This sort of through Kdeezy off, (not really) and made Ryen elaborate more on the topic. It’s true, Grenade will now be moving into Skateboarding which makes alot of sense for them as a brand.
So look for Grenade to start blowing up in Skateboarding just as they did in Snowboarding. In the meantime, check out the video below, as the Grenade crew tears up the Nike Park.

Tanner Zelinsky checks in with some awesome footage for the Strange Notes video series; Once again, quick editing, killer tricks and another amazing skateboarder.
Element skateboards has released their latest edition of Element.tv, and it’s not half bad. It showcases Element’s European talent ripping the park scene. Check out the video below:

Finally, Nintendo fans can get a piece of the EA skate action. EA’s video game broke major ground in skateboarding video games, by introducing a more “realistic” skateboarding experience. Many of us have played Tony Hawk’s skateboarding video games, and are quick to note the anti-realism that is found in a lot of the gameplay. Even the latest version “Proving Ground”, with all its steps toward becoming a more “simulation” style video game, was just not that good.
EA skate on the WII is going to feature use of the balance board, and the long rumored “skateboard” controller. Those of you that have the DS will have full scale skateboarding simulation via the stylus.
I for one am not a fan of the stylus, but will venture to say that this is great news for Nintendo fans.
