Posted on by sirjorge | +Add a Comment »

Who said the industry was only in Southern California? Sure there are some heavyweights chillin in California, but Manik Skateboards is putting in motion a major attack plan to change the game. Here they are representing their home town with a skate demo at Innerspace in Seattle, Wa. Watch out for these guys, they are some of the best skateboarders in the Northwest and dare I say…anywhere.

Posted on by sirjorge | +Add a Comment »

Recent signee to Girl SkateboardsMike Mo, really had his hands full with Eric Koston when they went for broke in this game of skate. You might be surprised by the victor, and it was filmed, so it will go down in history.

Element Tv #84

Element skateboards returns with Element Television Number 84, with footage from the Zumiez couch tour. Not bad, although I’m not a big fan of corporate skateboarding/surfing chains like Zumiez. But that’s just me…check out the Element crew, ripping it up for the Zumiez corporation.

Tony Hawk Sidekick Proof

image001_0_0.jpg

We had previously mentioned that Tony Hawk was pimping out a sidekick with the help of T-Mobile, and today, word has become truth, as there are pictures and statements by Tony himself, citing that he loves the Sidekick and is proud to be a part of this “revolutionary” transmission.

image002xlarger.jpg

Not bad, but will Tony Hawk’s sidekick be able to overcome the new Iphone that is supposedly coming out later this summer?

Further more, do skateboarders really care about their phones enough to back Tony Hawk? Or is this just a push towards further publicizing the Hawk name…as if he needs more non-skate publicity.

Whatever the case is, The Birdman is a legend and this phone can be a good thing, if it’s solid.

Sean Malto Berrics Video

First and foremost, Sean Malto is now riding for Girl Skateboards as a professional! Secondly, he’s been ripping it up for a long time, and here’s a quick video from his session at Steve Berra’s skateboard park. It’s quick, but it’s good! Kid’s got some major skills.

Tony Hawk Still Relevant?

I didn’t know the Birdman was still relevant in skateboarding. Sure, he did help reinstate vert skateboarding for the X-Games, and he has been doing work with Birdhouse skateboards, and a few commercials here and there, but overall, I haven’t really heard or seen anything major from Tony Hawk in a while.

Until this morning, when Crunchgear announced that Tony Hawk will have a limited edition Sidekick coming out sooner than later.

Wait…is the Sidekick still relevant?

Tony Hawk’s still a highly demanded famous person, even if he has retired from skateboarding as a whole. Then again, there is the boom boom huck jam tour coming through a town near you.
