Seshn: Where you posted at?

CB: Twin Peaks, CA…Big Bear

Seshn: Who are your sponsors?

CB: Technine, Electric Visual, Neff, Vans, Big Bear, Ambigious

Seshn: What do you want to take from snowboarding?

CB: RESPECT!!!!!!!!!

Seshn: Why is Dingo so popular?

CB: WHO?????…oh you mean that guy from Australia?!?!?!bshaw7.jpg

Seshn: What is your whip game like?

CB: You know I roll stunna style. Got that 2000 beater Subaru on some all black stock 15″ rims. Then I got a cracked windshield so the PoPo dont spot me. Also got me two 15’s running off 500 watts. Str8 Ghetto Fab

Seshn: What riders should we look out for?

CB: There are too many to name. Much respect to Goon Squad, Nico Cioffi, and Midget Mafia..Repersent!

Seshn: What is your favorite thing about snowboarding?

CB: They way it feels. It’s a good escape from the bull shit.

Seshn: Some say your style is one of the best in the game. What influences your style of riding?

CB: I do it how I can do it. I just keep it all about me and what feels right.bsahw6.jpg

Seshn: What is one thing you want to change about snowboarding?

CB: Bitch ass faggots. There are way too many people that talk way too much. People need to get out of my business unless your on some grown man business. I am about to ride down the hill naked covered in blood to scare people and give them something to talk about.

Seshn: What is like filming “Bozwreck 2″?

CB: Shit is raw. Snowboarding ain’t ready for what Nate[Bozung] and Matty[Ryan] are about to release and I think it’s funny. But on the real some of the best uncut and uncensored snowboarding is going down in Bozwreck.

Seshn: So how is your part in “Familia”…the Finga on Da Trigga flick.

CB: I work hard when Cole[Taylor] ain’t choking me and [Lucas]Magoon out. I am pumped to see what this years flick is going to look like. We got some heavy hitters holding down the block.

bsahw5.jpg

Seshn: Do you want your daughter to pursue snowboarding?

CB: My daughter has been shredding since she came out the gut. If she wants to pursue it I got her back for life.. she is my little soldier. But my advise to her is keep away from the money hungry sharks in the indusrty. A lot of big heads are just trying to use people for their wealth and care less about us getting broke off. Sometimes I want to beat these busters down , but I don’t want to catch a case over some waldo getting stuck.

Seshn: What advice can you give to kids that want to pro shreds?

CB: Keep shredding and fuck the agents trying to swoop you up. Tell them to get raped…fucking molester’s.  Also listen to your parents and stay away from strangers.

Seshn: Shout Outz !

CB: To all my fucking homies..you know who you are! C-Town, V.O.E, my sponsors (unless the check is late…hahaha just playin), and all the Cat’s out there repping the lifestyle…..S.T.D. (shred till death)

One on Ones - Priscilla Levac

Posted on by brandon@seshn | +Add a Comment »

sesh3.JPGPriscilla Levac is snowboarding. Think girls can’t snowboard? Think again! Levac will out shred 95% of any guy that will ever read this interview.Aside from being a pro shred betty, Priscilla is also an entrepreneur and she and her new first layer company Cilla are blowing up. Find out more of what’s been going on with Priscilla below:

Yo Priscilla, what have you been up to?
I just moved to Utah for the winter and been snowboarding a bunch at Snow Basin, PC and the Mnt Lab. I also been filming a bit with Standard in Montreal and Whistler..

What do you think of all this global warming nonsense with these massive pow dumps we have seen here in Utah over the last few weeks? Is it legit or just another government hoax?
I do think that all the nonsense precipitations are related to global warming but i don’t think that it has anything to do with goverment hoax.

Who are your sponsors these days?
Ride, DC, Spy, Coal, Bakoda, Bern, Cilla, Fuse Snowskate, Monster energy drinks, Whistler/Blackcomb.

seshn1.jpgHow supportive is a company like Ride and do you feel like the support they have for their riders has been a big part in their success as a snowboard company?
For sure! I think Ride is very supportive of all of us, they have been since the day i got on. I really feel like they got my back. They’re really good at promoting us and I like their ad campaigns a lot.

How is Ride keeping up on progression and the changes in design and technology?
They kill it! I was actually at our Ride sales meetings in Whistler a few weeks ago and i was blown away with the next year’s products. Their stuff is gettin so good, everything is getting lighter and more comfortable, it really feels like quality product, and that’s so important to me, it makes me feel like i can ride better. And their outerwear, it’s been amazing ever since i started riding for them, no complaints at all!!

Who are your favorite homeys to ride with and why?
Natasza Zureck and my lil homies Stevie, Andrew, Jon etc..

Where are calling home right now and what’s the scene like?
Whistler. And it’s dumping everyday. But good luck to find the sun.

If you could pick one favorite photog who would it be and why?
Crispin Cannon. Cause he’s super good, and good at shooting all kinds of stuff like jibs, backcountry, portraits, studio stuff, naked stuff…(just kiddin’!)

seshn2.jpgWhat was your best memory of 2007 and why does it stand out above the rest?
2007 is the year that i started my own first layer company called “Cilla” layers. And it’s doin’ awesome!!! Check it out at cilla.ca

What are your plans for 2008?
To film a good video part with Standard.

Would you rather have to always eat standing up - or - always enter your car from the passenger door?
I’d rather eat sitting on the passenger seat.

Who are you playing in your ipod these days?
Aesop Rock, Spoon, Camera Obscura, Lucero etc..

Who is your favorite midget?
Mikey Leblanc

There is alot of talk about the industry selling out to big box chains, is this good or bad for the industry? Does it matter?
I understand that companies wanna make more money and make their lives easier but i personnaly don’t like it. It’s like when you really like a song and all of a sudden it’s playin’ on every single radio stations, that’s when you don’t hear it the same way.. it doesn’t sound cool anymore.

Are you into art?
Yes i’ve been into oil and acrilyc painting since i was 17. But with my snowboarding carreer, i haven’t had time to touch that stuff for a few years.

What type of art do you like?
I like anything that gives me a feeling when i stare at it. But a good feeling, and good energy.

pandion1.jpgIf you could create an hybrid crossbred animal, what two animals would you pick and why?
It would be a lion mixed with a panda. The panda for the sweet and compassionate side and the lion for the confidence and power. It would be called a “Pandion” but don’t mind the way it would look.

How big of an impact do you think the internet has on action sports and where do you see it all headed?
I think it’s a great way for kids to find out what’s goin’ and watch some of the events that TV doesn’t cover. It probably has a big impact on sales and allows our industry to grow bigger.

What do you think of Seshn, before we let you go?
I just checked out the site and it looks dope! I am stoked!!!

Rad, we are stoked even more having you on as one of our first interviewees behind Eddie Wall. Thanks so much for your time Priscilla and have a great rest of the season and we’ll talk more about Cilla next time around, very soon!
Awesome, sounds good, thanks Seshn!

One on Ones - Eddie Wall

Posted on by brandon@seshn | +Add a Comment »

cole barash Eddie Wall’s career as a professional snowboarder stems from his beliefs in hard work and sacrifice. He began his dream as a pro snowboarder by standing on his sled in his backyard in Pennsylvania, two hours from what he like to describe as “the smallest hill imaginable.”

Seshn: Yo Eddie, what have you been up to?
Eddie Wall: Filming filming filming, just trying to get a lot of stuff done for the new forum movie dropping this sept! FORUM OR AGAINST EM.

Seshn: What do you think of all this global warming bullshit with these massive pow dumps we have seen over the last few weeks? Is it legit or just another government hoax?
Eddie Wall: Whether its true or not, keeping less fumes in the air and cars off the road is good. Keeping everything we do super environmental is the best trend we can get into anyways. No matter whats happening its cool to see people trying to do shit about it, whether it has to do with global warming or not.

Seshn: Who are your sponsors these days?
Eddie Wall: forum, foursquare, dc, smith, vestal, mammoth, jacks.

Seshn: How supportive is a company like DC and do you feel like the support they have for their riders has been a big part in their success?

Eddie Wall: DC is the shit!! They back their team so damn hard! its insane. They really give a lot of credit to the team for their success. They are basically the best company in the industry in my eyes, them, forum, and burton are the dopest. Ken Block is the man.

Seshn:What was your best memory of 2007 and why does it stand out above the rest?
Eddie Wall: Filming in NZ with the DC team for the new video, with ken block’s rally car, it was long days of filming, and scary shit, but the outcome was rediculous. some of the best footy i have ever been in for sure.

Seshn: What are your plans for 2008?
Eddie Wall: x games and film for FORUM OR AGAINST EM the new forum video.

Seshn: Who are your favorite homeys to ride with and why?
Eddie Wall: pat moore, bell, kennedy, welch, basically the whole forum and dc teams. and when i am skating its with Tony Tave, Denis Durant, Josh, Abdias Rivera, Ice, Windsor (all the Circa homies)

Seshn: Where are you calling home right now and what’s the scene like?
Eddie Wall: I have a house in mammoth and in san clemente california. I travel the entire year, so I am only home in mammoth a week or so… so I don’t know the scene there. In san clemente the scene is dope,,, hang with all the Circa homies, DC Forum and all sponsors are down there, and my girl lives there too . i like it there

Seshn: If you could pick one favorite photog who would it be and why?
Eddie Wall: Ian Rueter has helped me out the most, gotten me like 4 covers,,, and interviews and everything! He’s the shit! I really like Cole Barash too, Olli Gagnon, Nate Christianson, Mathis, their all really dope and really good.

Seshn: Who are you playing in your ipod these days?
Eddie Wall: bob dylan, belle and sebastion.

cole barashSeshn: There is alot of talk about the industry selling out to big box chains, is this good or bad for the industry? Does it matter?
Eddie Wall: Its been happening for years, burton has been in chain stores for years now, along with some other companies… and it hasn’t seemed to mess to much up right now. I dont know whether im for it or against it.

Seshn: Are you into art?
Eddie Wall: yeah, i just went to a big shepard fairy show in LA (obey), it was the shit… I have been doing art since school… and my girlfriend is really into it, she’s amazing.

Seshn: What type of art do you like and who are some of your favorite artists?
Eddie Wall: Banksy, Shepard Fairy, Ralph Steadman, HR Gieger, Lennon, Owelette.

Seshn: How big of an impact do you think the internet has on action sports and where do you see it all headed?
Eddie Wall: It probably impacts it alot cause it gets footage, riders, product and all of that right into peoples homes,,, for me it doesn’t really matter,,, i check my emails and myspace and thats it,,, I dont “surf the net.”

Seshn: Thanks for your time Eddie, take care and we’ll talk to you soon dude.
Eddie Wall: Thanks so much, stoked!!
