In this clip from the upcoming documentary about his life, Harlan Ellison (noted short story, novella, and television (classic Star Trek, the original Outer Limits) candidly speaks about why/when a writer should be paid. Never one to be afraid to take a shot at anybody (do some research about his pseudonym Cordwainer Bird), Harlan has some not-so-nice things to say about people who don’t want to pay him.
Two new website launched recently, each with great concepts, design, and navigation that’s often forgotten about in the realm of the world wide web. Most people leave at least one of those points out when developing their website, so it’s nice to see people get it all right. Here we have the website for Mass Appeal/10.Deep’s Dante Ross which utilizes a drum machine design and fashion brand, Ksubi’s google knock-off.

Vans + UXA + Status is proud to present a mixed media exhibition by Peter Huynh.
Known for his experimentation with oversized print-n-snipe street posters. Tiled enlargements to billboard proportions depicting ‘Lex’ the great bear, landscaped over fluidly–hard camouflage patterns denoting rebel contorts. This exhibition features ‘one-off’ prints, U.S. military Mutants X-65 jackets and Vans ‘Lex’ Chukkas’.
