I came across this today and just had to post it. It seems that surf great, Kelly Slater and artist, Emil Kozak have collabo’d to bring you two very cute surfboards, that could make you look very ‘festive’ in the water. Now it’s obvious that surfboards are on the brink of a huge shift in design and style, and you will see more and more boards popping up next year that emulate skateboards. We just posted a blog about Super Surfboards and what they are doing, and it’s great but if art on surfboards is going to be looking this cutesy, they are going to have to send me some matching wrapping paper to go with it. I am really hoping we don’t see Kelly using these in the water.

To be honest the boards look EXTRA COOL…and there are some people that just walk two step away from normal people, and that is what is Kelly doing…today you say “I hope kelly doesnt wear them!” in two years time you are gonna buy one even more crazy and think your stylish…
EXTRA COOL BOARDS, THEY LOOK AMAZING and YES I DO HOPE HE WEARS THEM…

Not taking anything away from Emil because I love the design of the boards, but for surfing they just dont match really. These may be great boards to hang on the wall but the style just doesnt look that great for a surfboard.
