The search for McRad ends with this archetypal split album featuring deep-end openers Frontside Five. To give you an idea of the aptitude of this album, the first eight songs are dusty punk rock tunes from Frontside Five with names like “Shit Town”, “Thrasher”, and “Who Farted?” The last eleven tracks document the accomplished Chuck Treece and crew lending a buffet of classic skate rock and some irie dub with a nod to Bad Brains. This record is a twinpack of rock not to ignore, yet depending on your verdict; it is either properly diverse or too schizophrenic for those looking for consistency in McRad’s renewal.
